Prospective new models may join the Figure Models Guild by attending a Model Training Program. These are held periodically and when there are enough people to justify the effort.

Sessions will generally be scheduled for the 1st Sunday of the month, combined with the regular 1st Sunday meeting of the Figure Models Guild. This schedule may change if there are conflicts, including holiday schedules. If you are interested in knowing more about the guild, send an email to Dave with the following information:

Name - you may use another name or nickname for inclusion in the Model Registry
Birth Year - the year you were born - month and day are not required
Year started modeling - the year you started modeling, if appropriate
Height & Weight
Physical description

You will be asked for more information when you attend your first Model Training Program session.

While it is not required that you model nude, more of the jobs call for nude models. There is no pressure to model nude in order to be a member.

The Figure Models Guild is a professional organization and requires that models take it seriously and abide by the rules posted on the home page.

There is no fee to join the guild. Members are expected to attend at least 1 1st Sunday meeting of the Figure Models Guild to remain members in good standing. Benefits include:

  • Inclusion in the Model Registry that is sent to all who hire models - all the colleges, universities, schools, groups and private artists
  • Copy of the Pose Guide featuring 1 inch digital images of poses done by famous artists - 220 poses for female figure and 208 for male figure organized by standing, seated and reclining.
  • Figurative Arts Directory, a listing of colleges, universities, schools and groups who hire models, including directions, who to contact and model pay rate
  • Inclusion on an email list to announce new modeling gigs or gigs with short notice
